Anatomy of a Successful Realtor Site

by JadeDragon on December 13, 2011

From time to time Innovative Passive Income looks at successful websites to see what we all can learn about web design, marketing and presentation.

Recently I’ve been studying what it takes to create a successful site for a Realtor and came across a good example  I’d like to highlight. Kevin Frank is a Re/Max Realtor offering Homes for Sale Vancouver.  His site incorporates a number of attractive features including:

Highly relevant URL: of  http://www.kevinfrank.ca/ that includes his name (and his brand).  It is easy to remember and easy to spell.

Pitch:  A very effective two paragraph elevator pitch on the home page.  There is no doubt what Kevin Frank can do for you and that he specializes in Vancouver Westside.  Too many sites are very vague about what they offer – tell the client what you do before they surf away thinking they hit the wrong page

Easy Contact:  At the very top of the page you find Kevin’s phone number.  No hunting through links to a contact page – put the contact info on every page in an easy to see location.

Photo:  There is a good clear smiling photo of Kevin. He looks trustworthy and friendly.

Movement:  A changing fade in fade out of neighborhood names and features on the left side provides movement and interest on the page without being distracting like an autoplay video.

Useful Tools:  Kevin Frank’s page offers a selection of search tools, mortgage calculator and neighborhood guides that add value to the client experience and keep them coming back for more information

Links to More Information:  Kevin’s Realtor site includes an uncommon amount of articles on very useful topics from Buying an Assignment to a Home Showing Checklist.  These keyword rich articles bring depth and dimension to the site.

It is not surprising to read that Kevin Frank came from a marketing and advertising background because his skills at marketing his own Realtor services are evident.  Presentation is very important in real estate because a Realtor that can market themselves well will tend do a good job marketing your home as well.

Feel free to add comments.  Anything that could be done better on this Realtor site?

Jade thanks for sharing the site. It sure has all the hallmarks of a good marketing website. The frustration that users had to go through on a website sometimes drive them away when in fact they could have been great customers.

I sure learnt a thing or two and plan to use them on my own site. I had my contact on another page from this post, I have realized that such an approach is not that effective.

Thanks again Jade for sharing.
