Constant-Content.com Helps Writers Again

by JadeDragon on February 27, 2010

Constant-Content.com is already pulling a steady stream of Public Requests on a variety of topics. Right now for example there are 40 Public Requests – articles that actual buyers put in a request for that range from fish species to car insurance and real estate topics. Many of the requests are for multiple articles too. New requests roll into your inbox every day and you just write what you want and price it as you see fit.

However, Constant-Content.com just rolled out a new type of request – Standing Requests (found as a tab under Requested Content) while logged in as an Author. Standing Requests are described by CC support as follows:

“As you may have noticed we have add a new type of request to the site the standing request. This is a place where we are going to put requests for content that we would like to market to our customers. We have some channels to market your content too where people are really interested in content that is available right now, and if it is available they’ll purchase it and if it is not available… well they just end up moving on. This will also help us develop partnerships where we are able to market articles that directly to a group of people that we know. It doesn’t show the same level of intent to purchase as a public or private request, but is meant to direct your efforts towards places where we know a) there is a market and b) we will be making specific efforts and partnerships to sell the content. Keep your eyes open for upcoming standing requests!”

I say pretty cool. There is no reason for writer’s block on this site.

I agree. I just joined Constant Content, published 7 articles and already sold usage rights for one of them. It works very well for me.

Congrats George. They have a statistical sell through of 70%+ on spec articles. If you don’t sell you can always use it yourself elsewhere. Pretty good stuff.

This is a place I have looked at a few times, but never signed up. Maybe I’ll take the plunge and sign up. Can’t hurt. Thanks for the info.

Yes I think it is worth a shot. I may take time to sell some work but the prices are really good.

Hi!
Thanks for that tip, although I joined CC a few days ago, I hadn’t yet stumbled onto that section.

I’m quite excited to continue working with Constant-Content. I have submitted three articles and have already sold one for usage rights. I’m quite pleased with the results. The “Public Requests” options is brilliant for those of us who find it easier (and less intimidating) to submit an article that we know has a higher chance of selling.

Thanks again, and thanks for a great blog.

Congrats on the fast sale! Especially if you treat the Public Requests assignments that must be completed (or some of them anyway) you have a steady stream of jobs to do. Some will sell, the rest go into your book of work for sale. One of the keys to success to success is to build up a book of work for sale. Can’t sell much in a store with empty shelves.
