Acne medication is one of the most profitable online sales areas. Check your spam to see this (spammers tend to focus on the most profitable niches, so one reason to read spam is to get ideas on what to market as an affiliate).
However, the problem with most of the top online sales areas is that they are not ethical. My rule is that I’m not selling anything that I would not be proud to tell my mother about. Today I became aware that that even the seemingly ethical acne niche is not without its problems. For example check out this site – accutane lawsuit – where they talk about the dangers of a wide range of acne medications. Given this information, is it appropriate to be promoting these products? I’m not making a judgement, just throwing it out there for discussion.
Mind you, pretty much everything is bad for you in excess. You can’t live without water but too much water results in drowning.
If you want to be ethical in your marketing efforts, check out this list of questions:
1. Is this product safe?
2. Is this product helping or hurting people?
3. Is the product good value for money?
4. Does the dealer have a good reputation – will my buyers get burned?
5. Would I be proud to tell my mother/pastor/children about my activities?

That’s one of the reasons why IM has such a black eye. You have marketers that are blindly affiliating with the product, destroying all credibility and potentially hurting people.
When it comes to decisions based on health – just go with your doctor.
How much can you trust people online that are trying to sell you things. If you see some “policy” link at the bottom, you know you’re already probably in for a ride.
