I’m familiar with the link wheel idea, it is definitely valid and useful. Link stacking is a little different though. The concept is to add weight to the links with additional links. Especially give extra weight to any natural links you score.

If I’m not mistaken, you’re alluding to a link wheel strategy correct?

Where article A links to Article B which links to Article C and all of them also link to the main site. This is a really effective strategy which is also very helpful to readers because they can find a ton of resources.
