Niche Site Analysis – Amazon Affiliate Site

by JadeDragon on December 23, 2011

I’ve been busy working on a group of niche sites, and in the process have been analyzing various sites to understand the attributes for a successful niche site.  Sometimes I share this analysis with readers of Innovative Passive Income.

Today I found a well built site that effectively uses the Amazon Affiliates program in ways that are more powerful than most I’ve seen.

The site “Which Tablet Computer dot com” is a sleek looking niche site dealing with the fast growing niche of Tablet PCs.  It has a number of attributes worth emulating.

1.  Super fast and super clean.  While loaded with photos, the site is stripped of all unnecessary clutter and just flies as I looked through it.  It almost made me think that I had one of the new tablets!

2.  Clear product photos and prices – you see exactly what is offered and for how much

3. Easy comparison between products.  The tablets are grouped into logical groups and displayed together on the page.

4.  Although the site is UK based (apparently) it sensed that I’m not UK based and gives me American prices (though I’m in Canada so not sure about that)

5.  Easy access to customer reviews pulled from Amazon, without leaving the site.

6.  Easy ordering without leaving the site, but powered by Amazon so there is a high level of confidence when ordering.  A good blend of convenience and trust.
