I just want to highlight Plagiarism Today and blogger Jonathan Bailey, the guy behind the site. Jonathan just celebrated his 5th anniversary blogging on plagiarism and copyright issues, a worthy milestone.
Not only does Jonathan have a successful blog, he has developed a consulting business based on the blog that generates a full time income. Read the story in this post at Plagiarism Today.
Plagiarism Today should be interesting to readers of Innovative Passive Income for at least two reasons.
1. It is a good example of taking a niche, becoming and expert, and building a profitable business around it.
2. If you write or publish content, understanding copyright and violations of copyright is pretty important.
For more on the basic issues an online writer faces around copyright, read this post on article copyright.

Thank you very much for the link, I’m not sure if it’s an example or not, but I’m glad you enjoyed the story.
To be clear though, I’m not, by any stretch, getting rich nor am I trying to really. My goal is to make a living and help people. I seem to being that reasonably well.
I think many more people would be able to blog full time if they would abandon thoughts of 6-figure blogging, etc. and focused on making a solid, sustainable income. That has really been key for me.
You can make a lot of money, just don’t expected to be handed $100,000 Adsense checks next month :)

After being plagiarised recently myself for the first time, I can see how valuable this information is! I was really shocked to see my work used by someone else (and someone I knew at that!) luckily I knew the person and was able to point out the indescretion and they rewrote the blog and credited me which has brought me a fair amount of traffic. I am pretty sure most stories don’t end this well!
I’ve also dealt with people stealing my work. I’ve been able to get it removed each time so far. You are lucky it turned out well Serena.
